Triosteum perfoliatum (Feverwort)

Feverwort can be ingested as a hot tea or warm tonic, and promotes sweating, relaxes peripheral blood vessels, muscle cramps, sore throat, cough, headache, stuffy nose and fever.

A poultice placed on the afflicted body part is said to reduce inflammation and ease discomfort.

As a cold beverage, Feverwort works as a mild laxative and can be used to treat gout, rheumatism, spasms, cystitis, sprains, bruises or broken bones.
